Simudyne has received a Gateway Award for 20,000 GPUh from the UKRI AI Research Resource (AIRR), giving the team access to Isambard-AI, the UK’s most powerful supercomputer, hosted at the University of Bristol.
The allocation is going into one thing: the next generation of Simudyne’s market simulation, built on deep generative methods. These are models that learn how a whole market behaves from order-level data and reproduce real order-book dynamics. More compute means bigger scenarios, finer detail and a much shorter loop between an idea and a validated model, for the simulations that put real market behaviour under stress.
Isambard-AI is built around 5,448 NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper superchips and delivers 21 exaFLOPs of AI performance. It is a cornerstone of AIRR, the UK Government’s national AI compute programme, which opened to academia and industry in 2025. The Gateway route gives selected projects rapid access to AIRR supercomputers for AI research, from new algorithms to AI-driven data synthesis.
Simudyne is grateful to UK Research and Innovation and the AIRR programme for backing the work.
