Simudyne, a leading technology provider of agent-based simulation solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of world renowned fraud security expert Dr. Edgar Lopez-Rojas as the business continues to leverage the power of its market-leading simulation platform to provide unrivalled fraud detection and mitigation solutions for financial institutions.
With over 18 years of international experience spanning Colombia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and the UK, Edgar brings with him a wealth of academic and industrial simulation expertise. He joins having recently held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at a number of leading universities including Universidad EAFIT and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, where he specialised in the simulation of financial data for fraud detection. Edgar has also spent time using his expertise as a researcher for Bancolombia.
Working alongside a world-class team of experts as part of the Financial Simulation Engineering team, Edgar will be responsible for bolstering Simudyne’s computational simulation capabilities for security and financial fraud prevention, driving product innovation as the business continues to execute its ambitious growth strategy.
