The Problem

Client was leading a consortium of companies to provide logistics and transportation of equipment to a remote location.

Complexity

The supply chain was long and filled with complicated delays.  No one saw the “big picture”; it was difficult to optimize across the entire chain.

Solution

We built a 3D visual simulation model showing the entire supply chain, including the interaction points and delays. Model was used to facilitate discussion and allowed different parties to resolve delays.

We completed the project in 4 months and the simulation reduced the overall cycle time for the supply chain from 62 to 18 days.
